CAPPS early intervention program participants are also offered family or individual therapy sessions that provide further information about the high risk state and best practice intervention options and assistance in creating a plan for reducing stress and risk for escalating illness.

Dr. Bearden serves as CAPPS’ Program Director and Principal Investigator. She is an associate professor-in-residence in the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences with an appointment in the Department of Psychology, as well as being a licensed clinical psychologist.
